Fiorentina and Mazda together: a new partnership is born

The birth of a long-term partnership between ACF Fiorentina and Mazda Motor Italia was officially confirmed in Florence last week. On hand to unveil the new official jersey that the team will be wearing in the 2010/2011 season were Sandro Mencucci, Managing Director of Fiorentina, and Wojciech Halarewicz, Managing Director of Mazda.

Mazda Motor Italia is now the main sponsor of Fiorentina, and the logo of the Japanese carmaker will appear on its official jerseys at all the domestic competitions that the team competes in until the end of the 2012/2013 season. This sponsorship agreement links two organisations with similar corporate values and cultures. On the one hand, Fiorentina, which has always embodied the values of Florence on and off the field, a city that is internationally recognised as a symbol of art and culture, style and elegance. And on the other, Mazda, with its heritage of being stylish, insightful and spirited, three terms that also sum up the spirit of Fiorentina perfectly.

“We are convinced,” said Wojciech Halarewicz, “that we have found the right partner, a young, dynamic, unconventional team, which we feel close to, even without the simple, formal signature of an agreement. This partnership will enable us to reach a broad target group of potential customers to whom we will propose the developments of our current model range, as well as involving them in launches of new products. We look forward to a great future together, full of intense and unforgettable emotions.”

Sandro Mencucci added “We are very satisfied that what we have built up in recent years, in sporting and other terms, has attracted and now links us to a partner as important as Mazda. I am convinced that the combination of tradition and innovation, competitive spirit and fair play, assertiveness and solidarity typical of Fiorentina, has been fundamental in the birth of this partnership. In fact, the jersey will continue to sport the Save the Children logo, a tangible sign of the fact that, over and above the importance of this commercial agreement, Fiorentina’s commitment to support the charity work of this association, which we are linked to by great respect and a sense of responsibility, will not decrease at all. On the contrary, our own commitment to charity will be stepped up by important partnerships like this.”
